Fashion Worries - Matt 6:28-30

Matt 6:28-30 "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin...If that is how God clothes the grass of the field..., will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? In a sinful world, human conscience identifies nakedness with shame; but, when the conscience gets seared, nakedness is paraded with pride. It was God who covered Adam and Eve when they fell into sin and tried to cover their nakedness by sewing leaves together. But, God gave them a better clothing, something that would cover appropriately and last. Since the fall, the language of God, whether in visions of the day or visions of the night, takes into account the conscience of man; therefore, we find clothes also in heaven, where angels are seen dressed in linen. In a way, our cultures and they way they develop has to do a lot with what we have done with our own consciences and minds. And, what we are shameful of and what we are shameless about signifies eithe...

Victory Over Worry - Dr. Matthew Thomas

by Dr. Matthew K. Thomas ( Jan 27, 2002) Worry means that your mind has been divided, that you've been torn between the real and the possible, between the immediate and the potential. It means that you're being pulled in two opposite directions. The Anglo-Saxon root of the word implies, "to strangle" Once you've become double-minded, you become unstable. - in emotions - in your thought-process - in your decisions - in your judgment 1. Worry is distrust in the truthfulness of God. It dulls the faculty of faith in you. 2. Worry shuts up in condemnation. 3. It destroys the capacity to see God's provision. 4. It questions the authority of the Word of God. 5. It makes one stumble. 6. It hardens the heart. 7. It is the forerunner of destruction. 8. It stops you from receiving the blessing of God. Matt.6:25,31,34: Three times Christ commands us not to worry. Three times, to get our attention. Worry is SIN, breaking God's command. 2 Simple Disclaimers 1. Worry doe...

Do Not Worry - A Poem

Do not worry for you're in your Father's care, Do not worry for worry'll get you nowhere -- Worry won't make you grow an inch tall, Worry can't save anyone from fall; Worry only adds to today's sorrow; So, let worry be banished to tomorrow. Do not worry-- See how the lilies of the field do grow, They neither toil nor spin, won't remain till tomorrow; But, today, are more gorgeously dressed than Solomon was in all his grandeur. So, do not worry 'bout what you will eat or wear, See how the Father feeds all the birds of the air. He decks the grass of the field with colors, He watches each little one with care; They neither toil nor spin, they neither sow nor reap, But they're all fully replenished by what God bountifully gives. So, trust in your Father who cares for you 24/7; And where He is there'll you'll find life's true heaven. ~ JESUS CHRIST ~ Matthew 6:25-34 © Domenic Marbaniang, May 3, 2012.
